Heather Owen, an accounting lecturer, from Edinburgh Napier University of England, completed his whole teaching mission of “Cost Accounting” for ACCA International Class of 2011 at BCSU during the period from May 27th to June 7th.
Amid the mission, Heather Owen had some symposiums with the vice president of Accounting School and some teachers. They exchanged ideas on the teaching approaches to specialized courses including “Cost Accounting” with the purpose of arousing students’ potential and on how to help students get used to college life after they got to Britain.
It is known this is the first time that a foreign teacher from overseas cooperative colleges has taught a specialized course in English at BCSU. Students in ACCA International Class of 2011 at BCSU got to know more about the teaching modes and ideas in British colleges and grasped rich specialized vocabulary and knowledge during the 40-hour-period intensive learning program in two weeks, so it laid a sound foundation for them to take specialized courses in Britain in next two years.
